Rafting on the Meco River

Fun and challenging Class III River (moderate risk) originating at the El Salto and El Meco waterfalls. This river has the necessary force to be navigated only during the summer (rainy season). It has fun rapids during the tour with waves and waterfalls. We begin from the “ejido” (portion of land) El Meco.

This river of travertine rock, and surrounded by trees allows us to enjoy the ride and at the same time admire the natural landscape, to end in the village of El Naranjo, where we will taste delicious regional dishes.

 


  • Classification: III (in a hierarchy of I to VI).
  • Physical activity during the trip is medium.
  • Children 8 years old may attend.
  • Time required is a whole day.
  • Does not allow for excursions of fellow travelers because of the geographical conditions of the area.
  • Ideal season is from July to October depending on water levels.
  • Requires a minimum of 6 passengers or 4 passengers buying the package. If you do not comply with the previous, please contact us to check availability.
