Insurance Policy

We are a serious, committed, and secure Company and as such, we would like to make you aware of the conditions of the insurance policy that will cover you during your stay.

The insurance offered by Huaxteca.com applies only in cases of accidents that occur during your activities; it does not cover minor medical costs nor previous medical conditions.

In the event that you suffer some sort of accident, the costs will be covered by the insured and afterwards the insurer will issue a corresponding reimbursement, so you should save all receipts that you receive in the hospital or that the doctors give you, so that you can send them to the address indicated by the insurer. This insurance has a deductible of 500 pesos that is not reimbursable.

Transportation by ambulance should be paid for by the INSURED and later reimbursed by the insurer.

This insurance is valid only while you are participating in the following activities: rafting, hiking, climbing, rappelling, zip-lining, trekking, waterfall jumping, SUP, and any other activity supervised by trained personnel with the adequate equipment and conditions for each activity (Removing safety gear or not following instructions provided by your guide with be considered negligent.).

  • The Insurer will not issue reimbursements for medical costs that are less than the deductible; the cost of the deductible is 500 pesos.
  • The medical coverage per person is: 150,000 pesos (minus 500 pesos)
  • Organic losses: 300,000 pesos (More details in your Thona policy)
  • Accidental death: 300,000 pesos (scale A accident)

The maximum coverage that will be paid in the event of an accidental death, only in the event of policy coverage, will be 1,500,000 mexican pesos for which, in this case, this quantity will be distributed among those affected, taking into consideration the original amount covered by the insurer.

General Conditions:


  • The ages of acceptance are from 6 months to 85 years old.
  • The insurance policy is for 24 hours starting at the start of the activity.
  • All reimbursement follow-up is the responsibility of the insured individual.
  • It is the responsibility of the inured to verify the validity of an insurance claim.

The insurance policy, in case of an accident, will not be activated in the following cases:

  • If the insured did not send their personal information or did not correctly send the questionnaire prior to the trip.
  • If the insured did not correctly fill out the waiver of responsibility indicating his/her personal information completely, clearly, and legibly.
  • Animal and insect bites and poisoning regardless of nature.
